Who am I?This is one of the key questions many people try to answer for themselves. In my view we need an answer to this question before we can really find the answer to "Why Am I here?" and to be able to attract whatever our answer is to the question "What Do I Want?". The more I think about this questions, the more I realize there are actually three questions hidden in here, depending on where you put the emphasis. WHO am I?This first one is all about our identity. Who AM I?This has to do with timing. Who was I yesterday? Who am I today? Who will I be tomorrow? And....which part of me is always there, past, present and future? What is my real potential? Who am I?What is the I? Is it my ego? My thoughts? My mind? My soul? My body? What are my key beliefs? Which thoughts / emotions are recurring? This is an amazing question to have the answer to. In order to find the answer to this question, I write it down on a blank piece of paper, I meditate for about 20 minutes and then start writing, without thinking and without judgement. Just let it flow. This is the closest we will ever get to finding the answer to the question from within. Over the years I have refined the way I write down the answers by using a mindmap. I use this tool with my coaching clients. What my clients like about the mindmaps the most is that it really helps to see the connections between all the answers. It helps them to define what is really core. Another way of becoming more specific about the answers is to ask some additional questions: When am I that person? How does it show I am ....? Why do I believe that is who I am? In my view this is one of the core questions, that will also help define the other key questions, Why am I here? and What do I want?
